SMS comes in as email. Email goes back as SMS.
When someone sends an SMS to your TheLocalRing number, the message is delivered to your email inbox. The sender uses ordinary texting and does not need an account or app.
Reply to that email and TheLocalRing sends the response as SMS from the same Canadian number. This is a two-way person-to-person conversation, not a one-way notification service, a bulk messaging tool, or a source of verification codes.
They text your number. You reply from email.
